This looks like a blast! My dad used to take my brother and me to something like that when we were young. I loved it.
I am a BIG fan of the Indiana DNR now. I know all the events are designed to get us to like the activities enough to buy DNR permits to do them, but they're also terrific fun and really genuinely educational, and all the volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable and made the girls feel actual ownership of their experiences. I swear, Willow sleeps with her used shotgun shells under her pillow now, next to her spare Nancy Drew novel.
