You should apply as Family Volunteers, which means you essentially volunteer as a team on the same assignment.

You can request various placements during the interview (which the kids also participate in, and they DO get asked questions!), but we ended up in Special Events doing things like Chemistry Day and Dino Day tabletop activities with museum guests. We really enjoy that placement, because we get to do something completely different every month. We actually never did end up with a regular Dino Lab placement, which was definitely disappointing but I know they DO have regular Dino Lab volunteers, so things could always shake out better for you!juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18141123092139829629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5255877501892467740.post-79049902372761939612023-10-13T14:18:58.675-04:002023-10-13T14:18:58.675-04:00Hello! We just yesterday found out about this volunteering opportunity, and we're so excited! But I'm having trouble finding information specific to this area of volunteering.

I wondered how old your kids were to start (or if you are aware of a minimum age), and if the family dig was necessary to do before being able to volunteer. Did you sign up as a general museum volunteer and request the Dino Lab at the interview, or was there something I'm not seeing?

I see that you had been going once a month, which eases my mind because we don't live close by but could manage that frequency. Thank you for your help! This was a great post! Monackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00563166526090094528noreply@blogger.com
